Buchanan Albert began with a simple irritation: wardrobes full of things that never quite earn their keep. Pieces bought quickly, worn twice, forgotten by spring.
We wanted the opposite. A carefully chosen range of menswear and womenswear in the spirit of classic British dressing, the sort of quiet, well-judged pieces you buy once and reach for without thinking, year after year. Fewer things. Better things. Nothing that does not deserve its place.
Material before anything.
Everything starts with what a piece is made of. We look for honest cloths and materials with real depth and character, judged by handle, weight and finish rather than by trend.
Good material behaves differently. It holds its shape, softens where it should, and improves the longer you live with it. If the material does not pass, the piece does not appear here, however good it looks in a photograph.

Choosing well is only half of it. The rest is how you are treated once you have ordered, and we hold ourselves to plain, old-fashioned standards there too.
Every order is tracked and dispatched within 1 business day. You have a full 50 days from delivery to be certain, and if anything arrives less than right, a photo is all we need to put it straight. When you write to us, a real person replies within 1 business day.
